The Greco-Roman Museum is an archaeological museum in Alexandria, Egypt. The library has a large collection of books estimated at 2 million books (citation needed) at the beginning of 2013 selected in Arabic, English and French, as well as a selection of books in other European languages such as German, Italian, Spanish and other rare languages such as Creole, Haitian and Zulu. The current collection includes sources from donors from All over the world on various topics.
The Tombs of Kom el-Shoqafa are a historical archaeological site located in Alexandria, in the Kom el-Shoqafa area, south of the Mina al-Basal neighborhood. It is considered one of the most important cemeteries in the city, and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World in the Middle Ages. The necropolis consists of a series of Alexandrian tombs, statues and archaeological remains of Pharaonic funerary cult, and because of the time period, many features of the Kom el Shoqafa catacombs combine Roman, Greek and Egyptian cultural points.
Qaitbay Castle is located at the end of Pharos Island in the far west of Alexandria. It was built in the place of the old Alexandria Lighthouse, which was demolished in the year 702 AH as a result of the devastating earthquake that occurred during the reign of Sultan Al-Nasir Muhammad bin Qalawun. Sultan Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay began building this castle in the year 882 AH and finished. It was built in the year 884 AH. The reason for his interest in Alexandria was the many direct threats to Egypt from the Ottoman Empire, which threatened the entire Arab region. The Mamluk Sultan Qansuh al-Ghuri took an interest in the castle, increasing its importance and shipping it with weapons.
